PAINTINGS
Water-reflections are my long time attraction. Watching the movements, its changing shapes and colors, they are like a meditation to me. It can keep me absorbed for hours and the possibilities for painting seem endless.
In my work I like to keep a loose and flowing brushstroke in order to postpone a fixed and static image, aiming to keep the picture open and dynamic.
I like to intensify the colors in a paintings, looking for a more expressive or atmospheric scheme. Zooming in on a water-reflection, an image can become almost abstract. Just a flow of light and colors.
Mostly I paint in my studio, basing myself on photos and memory. Sometimes I use the computer to alter images and colors as a study or preparation for a painting.
